PROTACIO MEDICAL SERVICES, INC had its humble beginning when its patriarch, Dr. Delfin T. Protacio, founded Protacio Clinic and started his medical practice in Baclaran, Parañaque City, in 1935. He was the pioneering doctor in this busy area of Parañaque City. The clinic began operating with a 10-bed lying–in facility in the early 1970s. Being the first healthcare facility in the area, Protacio Clinic became a prime healthcare provider.

In 1974, PROTACIO MEDICAL SERVICES, INC., as a family corporation, was established. It managed and operated Protacio Hospital, a Level 1 referral hospital (formerly referred to as a secondary hospital) with an authorized 30-bed capacity. It boasts of a strong outpatient department specializing in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Pulmonology, and Obstetrics-Gynecology. It further expanded its outpatient services to industrial medicine, catering to the well-being of the employees and staff of the different companies in the area. It also provides Pre-Employment Medical Examination and Annual Physical Examination.
